Plamena Dimitrova-Racheva

Plamena Dimitrova-Racheva is the author of books, monographs, articles, and introductions to exhibition catalogues published in Bulgaria and in other European countries. She is a guest lecturer at the Institute of Cultural Pedagogy in Varna, the Institute for the Improvement of Teachers' Qualification, Chernorizets Hrabar University, Technical University in Varna, Aristotle Inuversity in Thessaloniki, etc. The recipient of a research grant from the Paul Getti Foundation in Santa Monica, California, Plamena Dimitrova-Racheva works in the fields of art theory , art history and art criticism. She is particularly interested in graphic art from the period of the Bulgarian National Revival to date. Her studies extend the knowledge and understanding of Bulgarian art, placing artistic phenomena in their cultural and historical context.
